TRAVEL DEALS – Points and Miles Promos
A lot of us aren’t traveling these days, but that hasn’t stopped the travel companies from offering travel deals and promotions (Points And Miles Promos) for those who are. Rather than write about each one individually, we’ve decided that it’s easier to centralize them on one page, which we’ll update as bonus opportunities are added. Enjoy!

Points and Miles Promos
March and April 2021
Travel Deals – Airline Promotions
It’s always good to pay attention to the travel deals that are focused around airlines, especially the points and miles promos
Alaska will be awarding 50% bonus elite qualifying miles for the first half of 2021. That’s what we believe that this page says, anyway, since it links from a 2020 bonus.
Delta is jacking up the rate of return on its “Mileage Boost” for credit card spending. You’ll earn 25% more toward medallion qualifying miles in 2021 than normal. Your earnings rate is based on which credit card you own.
JetBlue has made a few changes to its elite Mosaic status, but the most interesting one is the unlimited companion passes. Mosaic members can add a companion for free to any flight booked and flown through May 31.
Travel Deals – Hotel Promotions
Hotel Deals, they can be huge, as well as a massive part of your travel deals optimization strategy. In any case, you should always pay attention to travel deals and it never hurts to register for new promotions. If you are just getting started in the world of points and miles, be sure to check out our guide.
Best Western is offering a $25 gift card for every night you stay during the promotion period (now through May 9), up to a maximum of four cards. Stay five nights or more and you’ll earn double points on all nights (including the initial four).
Triple points at the upscale Best Western properties. Through June 30 and registration required.
Best Western has cut in half the requirements to earn elite status for the year.
Hilton’s Points Unlimited promotion is decent, not great. You’ll earn 2,000 points per stay plus 5,000 points for every five nights through May 2. Registration is required.
1) Hyatt has announced its Q2 promo, called Bonus Journeys (registration required). It runs from March 1-June 15 and is decent, not great. Promo details are:
- 2,000 bonus points for every two qualifying nights (They don’t have to be consecutive.) that you stay during the promo period.
- 2,500 bonus points for every two qualifying nights World of Hyatt Credit Card holders.
- A free night (Category 1-4) after your first ten qualifying nights.

New winter promo has launched. 2,000 points for every two-night stay between now and March 31. Those bonus points count toward elite status but, other than that, not much to switch for.
Courtyard by Marriott is offering 2,000 Marriott Bonvoy Rewards bonus points per night through the end of the year. Use promo code M53 when making the reservation.
Marriott’s “Better Two-gether” promotion lets you earn double points and double elite nights on stays of two nights or more. Be sure to register by April 13 and earn with this promotion through April 27.
Marriott has a reciprocal offer with Emirates Airline, allowing you to earn Marriott points on Emirates and vice versa.
Credit cards can be a great way to rack up miles in a hurry, particularly if you find a lucrative sign-up bonus.* We’re going to focus only on the ones that are offering better-than-normal bonuses (e.g., a card that normally offers a 30K points bonus has a limited-time-only promotion offering 50K).
60K American Express Membership Rewards Bonus
American Express is offering a good looking sign-up bonus for a good looking card. The American Express Gold Card now comes in either gold or rose gold, but the best part is the 60,000 Membership Rewards points you get for signing up and spending $4,000 in the first six months.
Bonus opportunities are also excellent and include:
- 4X points at supermarkets
- 4X points at airlines
- 3X points on airfare
The annual fee is $250, but you receive up to $10 in restaurant and $10 in Uber credits each month for up to a total of $240 in rebates per year.
Cash Back Shopping
Points and miles rule #2 states that you should never shop online without getting some sort of rebate. We discuss the best ways to do so on our page about cash back shopping portals.
While any of these sites are good ones, Mr. Rebates seems to be pushing the hardest this month to offer the best rewards. That would be my first stop.
