Downtown Parking

No downtown hotel-casinos charge guests for parking; prices listed and validations are for non-guests. Parking charges surge for special events downtown, from $20 to $40 during events. Most allow validation for playing in the casino and/or eating at the restaurants. Details for each hotel-casino are below.

Golden Gate Validate for guests who gamble for at least 3 hours.
Golden Nugget Three hours free with validation from casino or restaurants; without validation or after three hours, $5 per hour with a $20 max per day.

    Treasure Island
Treasure Island does charge for parking. I got an offer and one of the perks was they would waive the parking fee that ranged from $14-18.

  • Todd Sweet Mar-22-2017
    Total Rewards
Parking is free for certain levels at Total Rewards properties on the strip.

is self parking free at harrah's casinos?

  • deke @ lva Mar-24-2017
    Harrah's
Thomas -- Nope. Caesars Entertainment casinos instituted self-parking and valet fees late last year. You can see them above at Harrah's, LINQ, Flamingo, Cromwell, Planet Hollywood, et al.

    nice reference page
Thanks for the list. Its useful...and probably means I wont be visiting the strip on future trips. Between resort fees and parking you need to cough up an extra $300/week for stuff that used to be free. No thanks!

    Greed
Pure and simple, Casino Greed has sure taken a lot of the fun out o Vegas in 2017.

    parking
I don't visit the strip very often, but now that there are parking fees just to go into a casino to most likely lose my money i'll pass on those casinos. This is really out of line, and it only hurts the valet workers..you know they are not going to get the tips that they were getting before after people are paying 20.00 to park, cause really who goes into a casino for an hour or two,and hour fly's by and two is never enough, hell you can't even watch a full game no matter what sport it is in two hours. To me the strip is for true tourists and that is not me so i may drive on part of the strip to get somewhere but never gamble in a strip casino

I will not visit hotels on strip that charges for parking!

    Handicap Parking...
Anyone know if handicap parking is exempt?

  • Mike Fleming Apr-29-2017
    Mike
Count us as seasonal visitors to Vegas who will not be eating or gambling on the strip in the future. They will be surprised at the number of seasonal visitors who speak with their dollars. Hope the owners paid the MBA who thought this one up well. Their revenue will be dropping off.

  • deke @ lva Apr-30-2017
    handicap parking
Jody -- Yes, we do know that no, parking for people with handicap placards is not exempt. They pay the going rates.

  • Raymond Seakan May-01-2017

    Any exemption for locals?

its not enough they take all your money when you gamble there, now they want you to pay for the priveledge.

  • Marc Neiwirth May-07-2017
    Customer Disservice
    First it was drawing on soft 17s;
    Then it was paying 6/5 on blackjack for all but higher minimum tables;
Now it's paying for parking. It's astounding that more people aren't deciding to go elsewhere. I love Vegas, but I refuse to even visit much less stay at casinos that have these rules (except the soft 17s- that train has left every station).

    Last Trip
This will be my 50th and last trip to Vegas next week.
Next thing they will charge to enter the casino.

  • Michael Bloom May-13-2017
    Nitzinger
What makes this even worst is the ones that are not platinum or higher are blocking the exit with figuring out how to pay this was at Paris. Maybe an extra 10 minute wait there were they four gates to exit thru. Was at linq on Sunday morning and it was a forty minute wait to get out of the garage, beauty!

  • Donald Albertine May-29-2017
    parking fees
casino greed will catch up to them on the strip ....not good business sense

  • crocy Jun-01-2017
    strip parking fees
A good reason NOT to set foot on the strip when we come to Vegas.....why would we "pay" to patronize their businesses....GREEEEEED that's all it is...first comes amenity fees, now this...ludicrous...not the only game in town (or continent for that matter).People need to be more "vocal" or they'll keep dreaming up these asinine fees!

  • Dave in Seattle. Jun-24-2017
    Park in the shade.
I'll pay $5-$10 if I can park in the shade during this entire heat wave!
But 40 minutes to get OUT of the parking garage??? No.

  • Carol Trzaska Jul-10-2017
    Jim & Carol
We have been going to Vegas 2 or 3 times a year since the 70's the resort fees were upsetting but this is our last trip they have pushed too far. Now taxes on a rental car are over 50% of the price and pay to park...NEVER

  • Keith Aug-09-2017
TI is still free for self parking
We just returned from TI (8/9/17) They still have free parking in the garage just west of the casino. Entry sign even says "Free self parking"

  • James Mason Aug-14-2017
    Ceasers properties
It might seem obvious to locals which company owns which casinos. I have a Nevada temporary resident card. Please name the Caesers casinos I can park free at for the first hour. Thanks

  • Michael Nelson Aug-16-2017

If you think a few fees are to high try Disney World. 30 million will still come to Las Vegas, but please leave your kids at home.

  • klkruger Aug-16-2017
    Free for locals...
for 24 hours: Caesars Place, The Cromwell, Linq, Harrah's, Bally's, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Flamingo. Scan your Nevada DL at ticket machine for gate to open on entry and at exit. Don't push button for ticket.

  • David Miller Nov-18-2017
Rip off resort fees AND parking fees...
They should just go ahead and rename the "Strip" as the "Ripoff" - anyone paying these ripoff fees should reassess and quit staying there until these fees are rescinded forever. Til then, the only times I will see the Ripoff is when I see pictures. And yes, that is how I really feel.

  • Joseph Dec-30-2017
    Free parking for veterans
I know that MGM and Ceasars Properties have free parking if you are a military veteran as of late 2017. All you have to do is go to get a veteran's players card, which is free at all of the MGM and Caesars properties. Hope this helps if you want to go to the strip casinos. I say play off strip and make your bankroll last longer.

  • OFCFoRe Jan-10-2018
    Treasure Island & Others
@Denise Trapp - Treasure Island does not charge for parking. Was just there. Other than that the list is accurate. The Westgate also has free parking, just get the ticket validated (stamped) in casino. Also the Marriott Grand Chateau has FREE valet!! Great option right on the strip.

  • netyron Jan-13-2018
    ELARA HOTEL
You forgot to add the Elara hotel attached to Planet Hollywood to the list. NO RESORT FEES AND FREE PARKING.

  • James Apr-26-2018
    Parking, all properties
What ever happened to the original Las Vegas? You know, the customer friendly Las Vegas. What are these properties trying to do scare potential guests away? This is ridiculous.

Does going to a show at the Wynn or encore ($400) dollars get the free parking and who would I see to get it

  • Patrick Campbell Apr-29-2019
Are the winds of greed shifting?
Just announced, Wynn and Encore are going back to free parking. No tickets, no validations for self parking. Who is next? Cosmo? Caesars? I know who I would bet to be last, MGM!

  • Jul-10-2019
    Plaza
Plaza parking may have changed. Parked there tonight. 1st hour is free. Hours 1-4 cost $5. It then goes to $10 but I did not payv attention to the duration 10 bucks gets you. This was in the surface lit.

  • Patrick Campbell Aug-14-2019
Main Street, Cal and Fremont changes
Sapphire and above no longer get free parking. Fremont is only valet parking. I was told by the Cal if I spent $20 at the buffet my parking would be free.

  • Patrick Campbell Aug-20-2019
    Cal Follow up
I was in Vegas this past weekend and decided to double check Cal parking rules. Signs are posted saying Sapphire and above do park for free. This was confirmed by the hotel front desk. I wonder if there might be exceptions for "Event Nights". Fremont parking is valet only though.
